Early this year NOVA was bitch-slapped by the Japanese government for fraudulent business pratices. Nova was running a pyramid scam by selling engRish classes with a points system. The Japanese <strike>suckers</strike>students needed to buy 10 zillion points for classes beforehand, and then <i>attempt to</i> cash them in for the classes they wanted. However, the class the students wanted were hard to find opening at normal times (evening classes for people with a normal work or school schedule) and the points had a limited expiration date (less than 6 months).
